Java and Hershey have produced our most amazing puppies featured on our Brown and our Reference pages.
We also have kept Truffle and Joy out of Java x Hershey litters we were so impressed with the pups.
Hershey and Java are UKC Champions and Java also has her Rally Obedience title.
The COI (Coefficient Of Inbreeding) is so low but because Java and Hershey share so much in the way of looks,
temperament, colour, health and size, their pups turn out looking very much alike without any inbreeding.
Java's pups are NOT for the first time dog owner because they do grow big and fast
and will need someone not afraid to establish a leadership role as Pack leader for the puppy to respect at a very young age.
You just can't have an undisciplined 70-80lbs Poodle jumping or nipping, especially around toddlers or elderly and even other dogs.
If you have been known as a "softy" when it comes to training or animals
then you may wish to consider a different, smaller sized litter or a red standard Poodle.
Java pups are very clever, confident, eager to meet and great strangers, high desire to please and do work
and of course VERY large and striking to look at with their dark brown coats. Everyone wants to stop and meet your Java poodle.
Java pups do love to make you laugh and if that means dressing up or doing behaviour to make you laugh;
they will do it with such pride and precision over and over.

Thank you so so so MUCH! WE LOVE her!! Jared and I agree we would have loved anyone of them!
Chance laid in Jared's lap the whole way back to the hotel, sometimes sleeping and sometimes just adoring!
I laughed because when the GPS would say, "stay on the current highway".... I'd say, "What highway? Where did it go?"
We rode in and out of snow, sometimes near white-out, but we are here safe and sound, and it was not that bad... we have some experience.

Chance is settling in, as if she has always known us. It is funny how Bruce's thoughts and mine wander down the same paths... scary actually!
But I too, was sensitive to Java and how it must feel to have her puppies leave.
The major tribute to you and your breeding program is how wonderful all the dogs were and so accepting of our presence.

Chance is already sleeping in a crate!!! Before I read your puppy packet... I set up the crate with all the "lure" items... blanket, toy and new toy.
I think she would have cuddled next to Jared forever, but we did the "right" thing and showed her the den!!
Ok, so later tonight she might not think it is the thing to do... We will let her rest and in the next few days we will try to find our routine.
I guess she will be up and about soon and my email time is short here at the hotel, so I will send this and cc to Bruce so he has the idea that everything went well.
Bruce.... she is brown!!! How about that?!!! She is sweet, cuddly , and of course highly intelligent!!!
She used the newspaper when she got back to the hotel, as we provided for her!!!
Laura... we will send a note sometime late tomorrow, when we get home. Hopefully the weather will not hold us up too much.
Thanks again, I hope you can see that Chance has been sent to a loving home and family!!
Yes, in the excitement we left the large water container at your place, but I have the water I brought from NJ
and so I am mixing that with the water we have here, which may be similar to the water she has been using...
Meanwhile, she is getting a bit of the NJ water. Arlene and Jared... he is on puppy patrol as I write this... :)
PS Jared is VERY happy that it was not all just a dream!

Last night 11:30 went to bed at my house. Up at 5:30 this morning she slept all night.
She is so nice and calm. I love her so much I will send you pictures from time to time.
Thank you so much her name is Roxanne.
UPDATE:
I wanted to let you know that Roxanne is the most intelligent little pup that I have ever had.
She is already peeing and pooping outside. She also she sits and lays on my sign commands.
It is very easy to take care of her but, the big thing is that she is always with me.
She comes to work with me every day thank you again I love her.

All is well, we made it the whole way home to delaware, chomsky mint girl was AMAZING!
Barely a peep out of her, very good on her leash--she gave it a good looking at and then just went with it.
She is sleeping right now. We will keep you posted.
Thank you so much, we are all happy.

So this pup is pretty amazing. Tony has taken her to the aboritum every day this week
with Cooper and she has run like the wind. Every time Tony calls her back she has a clump of Coopers hair in her mouth,
..cute and he doesn't mind. He has been sleeping beside her kennel at night, not by choice of course but she likes it.
She sits on command, comes to a specific whissel and her name "Everyone" thinks she is the most beautiful pup ...and she is.
She's not a barker which is nice but then Cooper isn't so lets hope :).
She sure is curious, stops and sits and stares at whatever has caught her eye.
Anyway, we just love her and we thank you for her.
We are feeding her 3 cups a day right now. Is that about right?
I was about to find it on your website as I remember reading it but then saw your email so might as well ask.

Just as snowy in Toronto today as it was one week ago when we picked up Aero.
He is a smart, happy puppy with a very active wagging tail.
He seems to be adjusting well and knows where his outside toilet run is even in the middle of the night.
Despite constant monitoring there have been a few in house burps but overall he seems to be getting accustomed
to his crate training (not too much confinement) combined with his kitchen area. He likes to have 30 minute "cat naps" during the day
but don't think he sleeps 20 hours a day like one of the manuals mentions.
He had his first puppy shot on Jan 12, 2011 and his neutering stitches were no longer there
( the vet said he may have licked them out or were washed away when I bathed him).
All of your puppy training pages have been a great help. I hope all of Aero's siblings are getting along as well as Aero has been this week.

I will keep it short, but THANK YOU for all your help and support in getting Einstein here.
The dogs are settling in with each other, and the kids absolutely love him.
What a beauty - I don't think I have ever seen anything like him.
He is so different than Olive was. He is CONFIDENT and I couldn't be happier!
I have attached just a quick photo of the Olive and Einstein with my two youngest children.
But you know me, and once he is clipped and I have had an opportunity to take more photos, I will definitely send them your way.
UPDATE:
Thought I would take a moment to wish you a Happy Valentines from Olive & Einstein !
Einstein is settling in just beautifully and is absolute perfection in breeding - he is exactly what I was looking for!
I have started training him, and classes will begin on Tuesday. I still love my Olive through and through, they are such a great match for each other.
I still have to monitor the play time that Olive doesn't get too rough, and that I maintain control, but things are progressing very well.
Once again, thank you for helping to find the perfect puppy for me. I have already started him working with a variety of materials (plastic, wood, metal, etc.)
I am also making sweet potato treats for him because the beef seems a bit too much for his little system.

Baby Blue Collar
It was great meeting you and your "pups." We made it home with Niko (Baby Blue). Those Pee Pads were a lifesaver!
It was so cold and snowy that going outside was very tough (although he did manage one bowel movement),
so I put him under my big coat and took him to the bathroom with me. Every time, he went on the pad, and ran around happily.
With my paper towels and puppy enzyme spray, we always left the bathroom in better shape than we found it.
Nobody noticed him, but I don't think I'll be able to sneak him in like that for very much longer.

Now that we are home, the snow is sort of fun. Niko leaves rooster tails when he gets going fast enough.
Pine cones are fun to carry around, but I'm making sure he doesn't eat them. He thinks he's done magic when he pulls up an old leaf from under the snow;
he prances every time! He'll still start shivering pretty quickly though. It stops as soon as we get inside.
Is this okay, or should he have a coat? It just seems like it already takes me ages to get out the door.
I don't want to delay it with dressing, but if you think it's best, please let me know.

This boy likes his food bowl, huh? No problems there AT ALL. Same with drinks of water.

he was very cooperative on the trip home. He sat or slept in his seat belt the whole way.
The trip took us twelve hours, including all the stops, so we didn't have a long night's sleep, but still, Niko fell asleep in his crate with no complaints.
I woke him up this morning for potty break, and then he went back to bed (crate), while Lance cat and I did some agility work/breakfast.
Puppy breakfast was greeted eagerly at 7:30 A.M. Now, he's sleeping, oblivious to all noises.
We have a two-tier containment system in the kitchen, with an ex-pen, for when we can't keep our eyes on him
and a baby gate to keep him out of the rest of the house, when we're playing with him or watching him.
He much prefers to have full run of the kitchen, and will whine or actually howl when he needs to be in his pen.
So far, we've just been ignoring the inappropriate verbalizations and then praising when he quiets down.
Is this enough or do we need to leave when he cries? (same way we stop the game and go away if his biting gets too hard)

You said his suture was due to come out on the 11th, which is Tuesday. He's starting to pay a lot of attention to the area (licking/chewing).
I don't see signs of infection and the incision appears closed/healed. Is it okay to take out the suture sooner?
I hesitate to put Bitter Apple in that spot, and I don't want to put an Elizabethan Collar on the little guy,
but it doesn't seem like a good thing for him to be doing. Today is day six after surgery; is that enough time?

Thank you so much for everything you did to make this pup so well-adjusted.
He heard Jazz on the radio this morning, and it made his head tip to the side.
So far, Lance cat insists upon respect (two bats with his paw, but no claws), and Niko is acquiescing.
Well, every other family member is napping. As soon as Mattie has her worms, I think we'll have a nap too.
Bye for now, A very happy
