Sophie's mother Abby is such a great example of the Breed in every way, that we were VERY excited
to breed her to our Hershey so we could combine the best of each amazing parent.
Imagine our happiness when the perfect little dark chocolate bundle of fur was born !
Sophie has a really dark brown thick course coat and dark pigmentation.
She also had a shorter back with loads of rear angulation (something poodles generally lack)
But a poodle can have all the "looks" in the world and not be a "keeper" if they lack calm temperament
Well we are very pleased to say that Sophie is the complete package for us.
She has a playful, silly, side when with her friends enjoying a game of -keep away-
and is a calm, loving, eager to please, sweet nature that we enjoy and wish to ONLY produce.
Sophie and I trained a few weeks for her first Dog Show and I also had Sophie Professionally Groomed.
Well our efforts paid off when Sophie finished her UKC Championship in "Bred By Exhibitor" Class (beating out other Poodles)
Then she went on to win a Group 4th in Gun Dog Group !!!
Sophie is so eager and willing to please that I decided to enter her in Rally Obedience.
She learned so fast and was, very happy in the ring, her tail wagging the whole time. We both had a blast.
Sophie accomplished her Rally Obedience title on April 2010 and has been competing with pleasure since then.
We call Sophie "Sweet Sophie" because that is exactly what she is.
Sophie will do a perfect sit or down without being asked and then look up at me with these
dark brown doe eyes so full of soul, and blink with those long, long eye lashes so full of adoration and love,
It is hard to resist, giving her a big hug. She just lives to please.
Sophie is also such a great mother. When we had one little puppy born and a mother that
would not care for it, Sophie willingly adopted this foster puppy
and took such great tender care of the foster puppy that it not only survived but thrived.
Sophie has produced some amazing large dark brown pups with Dream.

~ We have healthy Poodles ~
OK...so we have show photos, big deal...every Ethical/Reputable breeder should have those titles...
Soooo.....here is how Sophie usually looks now that she has Championed.
We keep her hair shorter in a sporting clip, as it is REALLY thick, course and with tight curls
that will tangle easily from her romps through the brush with her buddies
Sophie is a dark rich brown (We actually lightened the photo so you could see her better)
and she is a taller standard poodle.
Sophie wins Group 4th !!! and Best Female and Best in Breed (By beating other Poodles)

Sophie's Last show she lost "Best in Breed" to her daddy "Hershey" so that was OK.
