Dakota - Red male - Rose x Oliver Purple collar
I Hope you enjoy these pictures.
Dakota is growing into a beautiful red! Just had his first full poodle groom yesterday.
I took before and after pictures...couldn't get a shot with his tail up.
As soon as I go to pose him, down goes the tail...what a trickster! HAHA
When you see the full standing profile with tail held high he is gorgeous.
He is weighing in at 41 pounds now. Of course we had to include our toy Phoenix who I might add is still ruling the roost!
Take care.

Just wanted to let you know Silas is doing great.
Mostly on a raw food diet ( Oma's Pride)
He is just about 2 yrs and 3 mts and looking very health especially his eyes, ears and teeth.
His weight is 60lbs and keeping very active. I know he is at his best in the summer on the beach but he also loves the snow.

Cayenne - Light Red Female (Flair x Razz Gold Collar)
Thanks for the advice (regarding the puppy going crazy in the cage)- things are settling down now.
I have ordered a Pet Yard Pen, but am still trying the crate in very short sessions, which has been okay so far.
We only had one accident first thing this morning - my fault, since I took too long with my jacket on our way outside.
We have named the pup "Cayenne".
She is such a sweetheart and makes us laugh constantly.
We love it when she tries to sit so proudly on the hardwood floor,
only for her back end to slowly slide from under her until she is lying down.
Cayenne's favorite place to snooze, apart from the sofa with us, is in her fuzzy circular dog bed.
She had a big snooze there yesterday after frolicking in the snow for about 45 minutes with the kids and me.
She does love the snow and still surprises me when she stretches right out on her belly!
Thanks so much for all your work with our puppy.
Your videos and photos made our long wait for her very enjoyable.
I'm attaching a picture taken yesterday.

My mom came over today and we took some photos of all our poodles.
I think you're going to enjoy seeing them. Gertrude (Java x Hershey brown female) had such a nice time with her cousins.
She is so beautiful. Our Ceara was missed, but she was not forgotten.
We put some special time aside to remember our missing redhead.
The photo of Gertrude with her sister is so sweet. The photo of the whole "gang" with Ceara brought tears to my eyes.
She was missed so much. Sometimes I just expect to see her come running around the corner -- how I wish.

Olive - Hershey x Raven - Black Female - Gold Collar
6 months - 41.5 lbs, 23"
It has been a while since I have had the opportunity to drop you a line and let you know how Olive is doing!
Well, where do I being
Olive has now completed both her beginning and advanced obedience and she is doing soooo well !
As I mentioned in an earlier email to you, we have joined the Shannon Lake Working Dog Association
and we do Tracking each Saturday and finish with obedience and or agility.
She has been tracking each morning this week for her breakfast and is doing very well.
I have only recently gotten very serious about it and since then she has just taken off.
It is funny because she almost never barks except when she knows she is going to be tracking
and then she goes absolutely nuts barking she is just so excited to track!
I hope to have enough time to be able to trial her this summer, but other club members are finding it difficult to get their registrations.
Only one of our group made it into the Armstrong trial. So I will have to wait and see. There are many members associated with the club,
but I was watching the other day as a group of us were listening to some advice on "heeling", and there were 5 black German shepherds and my black Olive.
I actually giggled out-loud. Oh by the way, the club used to use a German shepherd in their logo....
however, I am having my vest made-up with a Black Poodle digitized on the back instead!
Her obedience is extremely good and solid. My only problem comes in if another dog breaks his long-down then she is unsure and usually will stand.
However, I was in the running room the other day and had Olive with me (by the way she goes absolutely everywhere I go), and I had to use the bathroom.
I left her on a down stay, went into their back room and came back and she had not moved. Boy were the staff speechless.
On Tuesday this week, I was walking her in the busiest part of down-town when I was "invited" into "Modern Accents" (a fine glass store!)
The girls so badly wanted to see Olive (I had never met them before). I put Olive on a down-stay inside their doors and looked around the shop!
Actually, I could hardly concentrate on anything, for fear she would suddenly move.
But, as she has consistently shown me, she didn't move, but gave one little bark to remind me she was there!
The staff asked me to return anytime I would like - WOW! I had the same experience in the Lululemon Shop, and Posh jewelery downtown.
It is so exciting!
At first in Agility I had to crawl through the tunnel with her and now Olive is so fast it is empowering.
She does the cat walk, teeter (with help), and can almost do the chute!
You were right - once she learns something she loves to perform it over and over with precision.
Other tricks she loves to perform are:
Spin in 2 directions (her mom's favorite trick)
Shake a Paw
High-5
Back-up (5-10 feet)
Kisses
Weaving
Table with a 10 second down stay
Holding the dumbbell and watching my eyes
Heeling with watching (boy can she ever reach - it is so beautiful to watch)
Tonight we started to learn roll-over, and Praying!
One of the girls at the club is looking into titling in WC, and I told her I am interested, but would have to see Olive's reaction to the lake when it warms up.
I am also looking into starting dog dance. There is just so much to do with her - the days are just not long enough.
You may recall that Olive when she was just a young pup picked up the stuffed soccer ball you had for the pups to play with.
Well, she still has it, and when we go for walks she picks up "everything", sticks, pine cones, absolutely everything - she is so funny!
We track in the morning, and then around lunch time (when it warms up slightly) we hike in the bush for about an hour,
sometimes after that we go downtown and walk in the crowds and have coffee, and then before dinner we do a few minutes of obedience.
How can you tell I'm on spring break and loving it!
I have attached a photo of Olive at 6 months.
I have tried so many times to get a stacked shot of her, but she holds her tail down flat against her body and looks unsure.
She is groomed in a Town and Country / Puppy clip and always looks fabulous!
But you're right - she is very hard to photograph because she is so black.
I have had a small problem though. The other day she stood up to give me a hug and "cut" me.
I looked carefully and noticed that her right front dew-claw had re-grown and was growing in like a rooster's talon, and was as sharp as a needle.
Upon further inspection, I noticed that various pieces of furniture had cuts and scraps in it as well. I took her to the vet and immediately had it removed.
I made a decision at that point to have her spayed at the same time to prevent her having to undergo another general anesthetic.
I would have included a copy of the certificate in this e-mail. but my scanner is broken, and I will have to scan it at work and then e-mail it to you.
I thought I would also send you her growth stats:
5 months - 36.5 lbs, 23"
6 months - 41.5 lbs, 23"
How is she fairing size wise against others from her litter?
Also, did Cora ever have her litter?
If she did, I would love to be able to look at them because I am hoping to purchase
one of her pups next spring as a playmate for Olive.
I am positive by then that Olive would be trained well enough to be able to introduce a puppy.
I hope you enjoyed the update on Olive!

Brown Female ~Cocoa~ Fusia Collar Java x Hershey
I just wanted to send you a quick update on Coco .
She is almost 15 weeks, and what a wonderful puppy she has been!
She is so affectionate with everyone and just loves to be a part of whatever we are doing.
My kids adore her. She has been learning her commands so fast! We we are starting formal puppy classes this week.
I think she will be the star of the class! She was 25 pounds at her visit to the vet last week.
She is growing so fast! It has been raining here for a few days and I can't wait for the sun to come out so we can go outside and play.

WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LETTER AND PHOTOS ?
Because I had let this page get so big with hundreds of references and photos in over 20 years
I have lost most old references I have had as they were deleted.
Please do not take offence if your reference and photos are not located
on my pages any longer as it is a computer (computer owner) malfunction.
I have split my reference page up with what I was able to rescue, on the following pages.
