Fusia Collar - Brown Female HxR ~Lady~
If you want a photo for your web page, Bill and I are looking into getting a professional shot done.
Here in Ottawa we have a cafe and pet store called Wag at 1071 Bank Street Ottawa K1S 3W9.
They also have an "Oodles of Poodles" night every once and a while where poodles and their owners come to socialize.
The breed-specific events are interest based so the more poodle owners that register, the sooner the event will be.
I would love to meet up with a sibling of Lady's and I'm sure she would too.
You can bring your pooch and the walls are lined with photos
taken by photographers who specialize in pets. We inquired about one of the photographers and apparently the cafe
is in the process of organizing a photo shoot for Christmas where the cafe pays the photographer and we only have to pay for the prints.
Hopefully it ends up happening and we can get some great shots.
As for the housebreaking, it's taken a turn for the better.
We put a fresh puppy-pad down a few days ago and it's been clean ever since.
Her stool firmed up after the first week and she hasn't had an accident in her crate since then.
The biggest success, though, has been walking on the leash.
She heels perfectly. She walks one step behind us and everyone we walk past just melts
when they see this clumsy puppy walking like a little angel. She just trots behind us with her tail and head up.
She even sits automatically every time we stop to look up at us.
I've met tons of other puppies (and older dogs too) out on walks where they're too excited or stubborn to walk nicely with their owners.
I even remember trying to teach my other dogs to heel and it was never this easy. It all comes down to how calm and sweet she is.
She doesn't get over-excited and she's so eager to please that teaching her anything is a breeze.
I definitely have you to thank for that!
I also learned something that might be helpful for other future Bijou puppy buyers.
As you know, Lady's stool wasn't as firm as I would have liked and it was causing some problems like messing in her crate.
It got better over time but little things like having a few too many treats or increasing her food amount too quickly
would ruin all the progress we'd been making. I brought this up with the people at Wag and they suggested
a probiotic supplement along with the prebiotic ingredients that are already in her food.
I did some additional research and decided to try it and the results were amazing.
The morning after her first supplement, she had the firmest poop she'd had so far and she hasn't regressed at all since.
She's also pooping about half as many times as she was before.
Everything else is great. She's growing up so fast!
She's about to go for her first grooming and hopefully I can get some good before and after shots.

Banzai - Brown Standard Poodle (JxH)
Hello! Well, i finally found my camera cord (lesson for all, don't lose the cord, its a pain to replace!)
All is really well here in Dunrobin. Banzai continues to grow, grow, GROW! At four months, he weighed 42 pounds....
he is now almost 5 months old and even bigger. We have our last Puppy class next saturday and the instructors all think he is a "sweetheart".
We are having so much fun with our Pup, he continues to make us smile ...
he is so happy and bright and playful and he has done really well with my son, Ashwin.
Banzai is still a cuddle bug (I'm sooo glad I found a cuddle bug!) and he has become a very important part of our little family.
he is MUCH loved!!
i noticed there is a woman in Ottawa who has one of your recent brown pups....
i was curious to know what Puppy cafe she is speaking of re: photo shoots ...
I am essentially in ottawa (20 minutes west) and would love to know what they are talking about!
if ever you thought she'd be interested in connecting, let me know.
so,,,,, I'm not sure how this works, I may have to send these in "batches" - but atleast you get a glimpse of life with Banzai.
Will of course send a 6 month update photo.

PHOTOS COMING SOON
haven't forgot your request to send you a 'stacked' picture of Kaidin (green collar girl from Java).
I have some pics, as a matter of fact, 100's of pics, and even videos now that I will send some-
it's just that I'm still waiting for one of my kids to correctly download the pics and recent videos I have taken I just didn't want you to think I had forgotten.
I have to tell you though, Kaidin is amazing. You didn't disappoint when I said I wanted a big girl -
she's 53 pounds as of this past Saturday, 22 weeks of age, tall, solid, big build, and so beautiful with a gorgeous dark dark brown coat.
She's making Kobi, my 28" tall male not look that big anymore and she's definitely keeping up with him and actually I think runs the show.
Java and Hershey would be so proud. She has a wonderful temperament, as I told you before, but she just gets better and better,
what can I say, every time I look at her, it makes me smile. We are scheduled for spaying in November.
I won't be doing the laser spaying as first thought, because the vet recommended that I get her stomach tacked so she can't get bloat, which I also think is a good idea.
I'll send you copies of the spay papers as you requested once I get them.
I hope you and yours are all doing well. For some reason, I can't connect to Joy's site ? How is she? I bet beautiful just like her sister.
I also have to say hello to Joanne and see how Roxy is doing. Any way, hope to hear from you soon,
and I will get pictures to you, as promised, hopefully within the week.

Gertrude Tynan (dark brown female Java x Hershey) attended her first Boston walk-a-thon sponsored by the SPCA a few weeks ago.
Unbeknownst to us, our photo was taken -- among many others, of course.
When I was perusing the photo section of the MA SPCA website, lo and behold, there we were.
The attached is that photo.
We all had a great day. My girls were celebrities. I simply can't put it any other way.
People were hanging off the tour buses snapping photos of us. Really, it was a riot.
The girls also enjoyed shopping at Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market, another hotspot in downtown Boston.
It was a great cause and lots of fun. Gertrude had a blast. She just loves to be out and about and going places and seeing things.
Of course, I'm sure you already know that about your brown standard poodles.
We raised lots of money for a great cause.
Have a great day.

We named Rose x Oliver Green collar ~Keeper~ after Emily Brontes dog and he is doing great.
Fidel (Hershey x Raven brown from 2007) is a great big brother.
Keeper tags along after him everywhere! Keeper is not as quick on the uptake
about house-training (Fidel was housebroken in 3 days) but he is doing very well.
We have not taken him to the vet yet, we are scheduling an appointment for when he needs his second shot.
Our neighbor has 2 cockapoos who have had all their shots so Paul has been supervising doggy day care
in our back yard which wears puppy out and helps him sleep!
Thanks again!

Axl - Dark Red Male -Rose x Oliver-Dark Blue Collar
omg! most beautiful dog i've ever seen! even prettier than his pictures. love at first sight!
Hes wonderful.
my mom was worried the whole time about me getting another dog since my baby girl reeses was already such a good dog.
but after picking him up and spending the day with him...she's so in love too. axl is so calm and sweet an d loves to be pet.
he sits by our feet when we're not playing and he crys for about ten seconds when he's put in the crate.
he's more than i could hope for...and talk about dark red!Axl and Reeses are getting along famously...they are about the same size right now.
just wait until she finds out that he's nowhere near done growing.
i'll be sure to send you pictures when we get back to Mcallen.
we've been staying in austin for the weekend...
UPDATE:
Just wanted to let you know that everything is going great.
Axl is a very well behaved pup, and has already learned the sit and the shake command.
Not only is he adorable, but he's very smart. I've gotten stopped numerous amounts of time by random people driving by to ask what kind of dog he is.
You don't see many standard poodles in my city. He's doing very well with crate training, and he walks pretty well on the leash.
Axl and Reeses get along pretty great...she can still get away from him when he gets on her nerves by jumping on the bed.
But pretty soon he'll be able to get up there too.
Enclosed I'm sending you a pic of all of us before we went out trick or treating in the neighborhood.

Ginger - Red Female Gold collar Rose x Oliver
I am a few days late with this, but I've been SO busy...and loving it!!
I'm not sure if you heard about the mix up at the airport, they tried to send me home with fushia collar brown girl!!
She was stunning by the way. They had the wrong way bill stuck to her crate, thankfully your info was correct
and I knew brown girl was coming that day, they even went so far as to say "sometimes the colour looks different in a picture!!
" Hahaha I said no, I am waiting for gold collar red girl that is not her! She ended up coming on the next flight and all was well.
I did however, end up with the wrong picture CD, so if you could possibly send a copy of Rose's litter pics I would really appreciate it,
I would like to print out the one of my puppy with the pumpkins and frame it!
You were right I do so love "gold collar girl" who's now known as Ginger "the movie star"
She is very sweet, my husband says we should've named her "shadow" since she follows my EVERY move.
Her first night was LOUD!! I don't know how she kept up that noise all night -stamina I guess!
Anyways I raised the crate off the floor so she can see me and bought her one of those warm up plush toys,
not a peep since, my husband gets up for work about 1/2 hour before me and she just goes back to sleep and waits for me, amazing really.
She is only in the crate at night and she has had only 2 accidents in the house one Monday & one on Tuesday
(both times in the front entrance as I was getting her leash) I watch her all the time and take her out often.
She certainly is a smart puppy and quite calm most of the time.
I will update you from time to time, here is a pic of Ginger with one of her new "litter mates"
Thanks for everything,
Peggy - Osgoode Ontario
WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LETTER AND PHOTOS ?
Because I had let this page get so big with hundreds of references and photos in over 20 years
I have lost most old references I have had as they were deleted.
Please do not take offence if your reference and photos are not located
on my pages any longer as it is a computer (computer owner) malfunction.
I have split my reference page up with what I was able to rescue, on the following pages.
