Guinness (Sophie x Beau) came home today and is recuperating nicely.
I wanted to forward the pictures of exactly what was removed.
Who would think a "Kinder Egg" could cause so much emotional and physical pain.
The vet bills added up to approximately $1,500.00 with the x-rays, surgery and hospital stay.
Hope you can post them on your website so that other puppy owners are aware of just how dangerous one of these can be if your pup gets hold of one.
Thank goodness it turned out alright because if a blockage had occurred (which was inevitable)
or if he had choked on it, then I might not have my little guy resting beside me today.
Thanks for all your help and advice during this ordeal. Your support has been much appreciated.

6 weeks of age...................................... 14 weeks of age
Red Female ~Poppy~Pink Collar (Flair x Razz)
Can't believe Poppy is 14 weeks and 16 pounds.
she is now lived with us as long as she did with you and we can't remember life without her !
She is very smart (she was totally trained by 10 weeks with virtually no accidents.
she barks "out" which boggles visitors ! she also knows the difference between "shake" and "high five"),
has the sweetest personality (she is quite the snuggler), is laid back (we have had a little biting as she teethes
but otherwise she is calm as can be) and is very entertaining (she hides her eyes with her paws when she knows she has been naughty).
This week, she had her first grooming since we got her and was really well behaved.
She is crazy about yogurt (the only people food she has, the rest of the time it is Iams and water) and for some reason, loves to sleep on my wellies.
Her favourite outdoor game is to jump on the lavender which she finds quite bouncy.
Indoors, she leaps from the sofa to the love seat and actually laughs when she body slams us by surprise.
She is apricot on top, a little lighter underneath, with red ears which everyone finds very cute.
We're off to Dr. Staples on Wed for shots and heartworm, she will get her rabies early May. Needless to say we love her to bits.
Hope all of Flair's other pups are healthy and happy. We are looking forward to seeing your June litter!
We are thinking a second pup would be great when Poppy is 1 or so...
Thanks again to you...and Flair...for such a wonderful pup.

Red Female ~Ivy~Gold Collar (Ruby x Razz)
Ivy learns the Joy of Swimming from chocolate lab friend Maggie!
I thought you would enjoy these pictures of Ivy's first swim. I think we have a water dog on our hands!
hope all is well with you and your poodlepack. We are enjoying Ivy so very much.
I can't remember life without her. I still call her Lily sometimes and we have a sad moment.
I sure would love to have seen those 2 together. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful dog with Us !

Red Male ~Momo~ Red Collar Flair x Razz
Hi I hope you are well. We are not bad I suppose...
I updated the site of momo with some new fotos from the sea.
He lost his first tooth, the one in front of the longest tooth from one side.
We started 3 weeks ago trainings to prepare Momo for the show which will be on may 8th .
We are working on gaiting, show stacking and letting me show his bite/teeth to the judge.
Also socializing with other dogs, and mastering his walk as we take half an hour up to one hour walks around the neighborhood,
twice a day, and his is not allow stoping or pulling me, or going in front of me.
The hardest thing was when his groomer (also involved in his training), a week ago, corrected Momo's nipping.
He was also fighting me with letting me show his bite/teeth. I did not think it was serious but she said this is not allowed :)
I was so shocked then (despite I gave her permission to do that)....., but momo after this went to her and kissed her a lot for the first time.
I suppose it was ok, as Momo now is more aware and willing to stop when nibing and catching my hands or arms with his teeth.
But I am affraid to correct him while he is teething. His groomer, another dog trainer and Tania (from the other Poodle kennel)
are all contribute to momo's training.
Are all these ok for momo's development, well-being, and for the show ?
I would very much like to hear your opinions/comments about all the things happened to momo lately, he is such a good dog :)))
a teasing dog that seems that he got the character from his father Razz and his beauty a mixture of Flair and Razz.
The show will be long, we are suppose to be at the show by 1-2 pm and eventually to take him to the show of puppies of all breed
but this will be by 6 - 7 pm, and I am thinking that maybe this will be too much and long of a day for him
as we will be there at least from 9 am in the morning because the need to get a good place to set up.
This will be an international show, with 1009 dogs registered and also cats, horses, birds, reptiles and others species
in a hot weather (at least 27 degrees celsius) as in the summer, just that here is warm starting from the early morning.

Thought I'd give you an update on ~Radar~ (Raven and Hershey Green Collar Boy).
He is now 9 months, and everything we had hoped for in a family dog.
At this stage he is 57 lbs and 27 inches to the shoulder.
He has a ring of white hair around his otherwise brown tail, and some white on the backs of thighs and bum (looks like he's sat on a dusty floor!)
It is very cute - but I suspect people question my ability to keep a clean house.
Still as gentle and laid back as ever, but energetic when it comes to play -
he loves a game of fetch or piggy in the middle (which works perfectly as neither of my kids like to be the piggy!).
We have been taking a beginners agility course - and after a couple of weeks Radar has realized
that it is not just a massive doggy play date with apparatus, but that we are actually learning commands!
Now he has worked out that we are not just there to socialize - he is doing much better!
and last week managed to walk the ramp, do the A frame, get on the low table, do the teeter totter (mini - only up and down about 6 inches),
run the tunnel, jump and weave without taking a break to visit with another dog! All not at a very fast pace - but we are on the way.
He is very social - loves both other dogs and people, and is a pleasure to take out.
All good news, we love him to bits.
Thanks so much,
Alison and Martin C, Toronto
...
I hope that you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
I must tell you that ~Olive~ has just turned 9 months old and it was like turning the light switch!
Some of her reserved behaviours have greatly diminished. Olive is such a tease!
Last week at Dog Club as I was going to leave Olive reached into Heathers dog bag and pulled out her lambskin tug toy.
I went to put it back and Olive FINALLY decided to give a little tug, then she seemed to look around at the shepherds and goldens
and noticed they were watching her and WOW..... did she give them a show! After 10 minutes,
it was all I could do to offer her sirloin treats to get her to stop and get into the car.
I had the very same tug toy made for her, and up until this point she refused to put any pressure into tugging at home.
Now, finally, she and I have such a great time with it in the back yard.
As well, my husband and myself changed-out our patio door for french doors on Saturday.
I moved Olives "bells" (to let us know when she wants out) over to the new door handle.
On her way inside she grabbed the sherpa stuffed tug at the bottom of the leather bell-pull and "Closed" the door.
I responded with "Good Close the Door" and now every time she comes in, if she doesn't do it on her own I remind her to shut the door!
Wow, what fun we are having. To her tricks she has added "High-Five", almost ""roll-over" on her own, and catching treats off of her nose!
It is so funny, once she learned what "heel" was she loves to do it just to get a treat - actually I think she does it to just show-off!
I would be so lost without her!
I am still interested in getting Olive a companion next year and wanted to remind you.
I will e-mail you again to put my name on the list for Java's litter. Please give Raven a HUGE hug for me - her babies are fabulous!
Olive is now 9 months and 57 pounds. Once again, thank you for breeding and raising such wonderful companions !
PS - I am also attaching a couple of photos of when she was 10-11 weeks old that I have been meaning to send to you.
They were too cute not to include.

Light Red Male ~Riley~ Baby Blue Rose x Razz
We were disappointed that we could not meet you as well.
Over the last few weeks we have watched just about all of your videos so it would have been nice.
Anyways, Riley did very well on the 2 hour drive home. We had just pulled into the driveway and he was sick, lol.
We have spent the afternoon introducing him to our son and our cat (who by the way isn't very impressed, lol)
So far no accidents in the house. When we got home we let him run around in the yard until he went pee for us, then took him in the house.
After he ate and drank we took him out to the yard again and he did both for us !
We know their will be bumps but hope to have him trained to go outdoors rather quickly.
As for our expectations, yes he is everything we wanted and then some.
We love his colour and he is very loving and good natured!
He is already following one or all of us around the ground floor of our house.
As I type this he is having a nap on the floor beside me.
We will take a pic of all of us and email it to you within the next couple days.
Thanks again! We love him already.
UPDATE:
I just wanted to start by saying that Riley (baby blue) is absolutely beautiful, he is loving, fun and very smart.
He has already grasped going outside to go to the washroom and runs to the patio door to let us know when it is time.
Wayne has taught him to sit and lay down. We are definitely considering a second standard poodle lol
I have included a few pictures of Riley for you to post.
He started as the largest puppy in the litter and is growing in leaps and bounds daily.
UPDATE:
I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how Riley is doing.
At his first vet appt a month ago he was 19 lbs but at his second one earlier this week we was 31lbs at 13 weeks of age.
He is for sure a big puppy but the vet said she couldn't find a single thing wrong with him.
He is very smart, he can now walk very well on a leash, knows to sit when I stop walking and not to pull on the leash.
He will sit and shake hands on command and we are now working on sit and stay until he is told to come.
We have not had his hair cut yet but he is overdue. I just dont want to cut the really soft and cute puppy fur, lol.
Riley is great with out cat for the most part. I sometimes have to help the cat get away as I think Riley forgets he isn't a squeeze toy!
He is good with out five year old son as well.
I don't have any pictures on my laptop with will send another email very soon with some new pictures.
Thanks again for Riley, we love his as one of the family already.
I know we are both thinking of adding a brown poodle to the family once we have Riley fully trained.

Here are the birthday photos.
Ollie (Java/Hershey) turned 2 on April 16 and Sophie (Ruby/Oliver) turns 1 on May 18.
They are great dogs and we can't imagine our life without them.
I have included a picture of them with Guiness (Sophie/Beau).
Ollie's pictures are before and after his grooming.

We want to give an update on Gracie (Ruby x Oliver, gold girl) -- she is just one year old this month.
First of all, we absolutely adore her, as do our family, neighbors, strangers on the street, everyone!
Gracie is full of energy and plays until she runs out of energy and plops down in the grass.
She definitely lets us know when she is done playing and when she is ready to begin playing again.
Gracie loves the snow and will happily chew on our socks/mittens/hats if we let her (which we don't).
We often take Gracie hiking and she explores the local trails with us.
Our neighborhood is dog friendly and she has a lot of pals to play with at the park.
We have attached a couple of pictures, one from a hike in February and the other of Gracie at play.
Thank you again for raising such a wonderful puppy, we are so happy to have Gracie in our lives!
Take Care,
Cyndi and Karen- Boston, MA

Dixie (Apricot Female Cora x Razz green collar)
Thank you sooo much .....
We have her and she has met the three dogs and everyone loved her....smile
yup boys just love her and she has accepted them also.
Even my Siamese cat who sleeps during the day with the dogs went up to her and layed down near her.
He licked her face and layed down again.(the cat that is).
I want to thank you again for that last pic of Dixie/green collar/Cora.
Her face is great....thank you for the puppy shave on her face/paws and tail....she is beautiful.
Thank you again.....All went well and I am now exhausted. LAUGHING
Pics will come soon.
UPDATE:
Dixie/green/Cora....SLEPT QUIETLY ALL NIGHT....YEAAAAA.
She woke up at 5:20 AM we took her out and put her back into her CARRIER(not cage).
She then slept till 8:AM..... She ate very little of the Iams puppy. When she gets hungry she will eat.
My Siamese cat who was on the couch with Dixie, slept on Dixie's back and then they both
slept.
Oh yes she is allows us to sleep. We keep her carrier two feet from the bed facing Bob and I and
our French Bulldog.
The other two are below her in their beds. So, she faces us throughout the night.
I keep TV on(no sound) so their is a low light. She does not feel alone.
Her toy that she arrived with is inside her carrier.(she arrived with the carrier)...Everything is just fine.
She is getting used to the large cage we have in the livingroom.(42 inches long) and we have her food
in there but the door is open. We did try the door closed for a 1/2 hour
and she only made a few noises and was quiet after that. And of course all the little dogs and Blu the cat
are right next to the cage when she is in there.
She has learned to climb the two steps in the front of the house and so far only 4 x steps going up in
the house.
She is eating, no problem there. Drinks quite a bit of water and is as happy as a peach without fuzz. smile
I brush her every day (since Wed) smiling. Since Thursday she has been outside with us for three hours and loves it.
We also put a little doggy bed outside with her toys in it.
When she gets tired running/walking around she plops her self down on her bed and chews her toys and then takes a nap.
The other dogs slept around her AND she invented velcro...LAUGHING yup just exactly as you said. smile
Ohhh thank you for the EXTRA PICS. Just went on my Cora/Razz section....
Thank you for the disc which we will look at this afternoon....THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH...
I have NEVER, EVER SEEN such THOROUGH BREEDERS and their WEBSITES......
yup I know why your Poodles are so perfect..........it shows through your Poodles and your e-mails,
your pics, your video and you Website........ YOU DESERVE A MEDAL...........
UPDATE:
Has any of the other puppy parents mentioned anything about their puppy loving to DIG holes ?
She is so smart and knows she can get away with digging when she is with Bob.
She stops short and looks at me as she goes to the area where she started the hole and stops ...
then runs away happy as can be....LAUGHING. Her paws are getting huge.......smile
I just thought that maybe some of the others noticed their pups digging.
UPDATE:
This is Dixie/Cora/green collar's SECOND bath in the sink. The first time we had no problem
Dixie passed her exam with flying colors. She was weighed and is 20.7 lbs. 11 weeks old this week.
The Vet used to breed Standard Poodles and says that Dixie is one of the most beautiful Poodle pups she has seen.
Her head and bite are perfect. She could not say enough about her and said over again how beautiful a puppy she is.
Check her hips also. Chris the Vet that examined Dixie said that you are an excellent Breeder.
The Vet said, that she is honoring your request as to what to give her and when.
I told her that if she wants her mind blown, she is to go on your Website. Your Website is unbelievable.
UPDATE:
We weighed and measured Dixie/Cora/Razz/green collar....
FEMALE today 12 weeks: 23 lbs. and 18 1/2 inches at the shoulder(top of shoulder bone)
Thank you dear lady,

Black Male ~Tagg~ Red Collar (Cora x Razz)
Tagg is everything & then some!
Yup indeed he already is charging the ankles when you walk past him!
What a great feeling! :)
He is such a calm and respectful puppy - I am in love already!!
As Lisa types he just lays there chillin' out! Sleeping away!
Even when one of the cats approaches!! :)
Quite the character!
I know Wayne has sent you updates on how Tagg is doing (yes we finally chose a name!)
but I wanted to send one myself to say thank you for such a wonderful, beautiful puppy!
His first night went well, only a small amount of howling and he let me know when he had to go out to pee.
The children love him and our dog Jazz had fun playing with him in the yard yesterday.
We will keep you up to date on his progress and send pictures. Thanks again - he is more than we had hoped for!

Sorry about the delay in getting this email to you.
Autumn - Pink collar Rose x Razz) is beautiful, but you know that.
We were at the airport An hour in advance, anticipating traffic but today is a Jewish holiday so the roads were not so congested.
There was no problem in getting her once she arrived, customs board of health came to the cargo area,
checked the papers etc and we were told to take her.
She was laying quietly in the carrier when I went to her.
She was very excited once I opened the carrier door.
I immediately found her leash, put it on her and outside we went.
You can see the photo's....she was so happy. We hung out for about twenty minutes letting her relax and wag her tail...
we then sat in the car for a short while and cuddled with her.
Needless to say everyone that saw us starred at her and smiled.
The car ride back to staten island was very calm...when we got home she ate, played with toys and is napping a lot.
We already had some neighbors in to visit her and I am sure more will be Coming by later.
She is fantastic….it was love at first site.
Her color is magnificent and her sweetness…everyone finds her to be happy, cute and a beautiful color…her tail never stops wagging.
I was just in the backyard with her and my next door neighbor…..i kept her on the 16 foot flexi leash…she was so happy, jumping and playing
I now have her in her pen and she is napping…it’s been a long day for her.
Did notice she is drinking a lot of water....is that normal ?
Oh yeah....i am the one with long hair, loretta is the one with short hair.
The house is quiet now...i will read everything you sent in the blue folder.
We are so happy....she is so sweet and calm. I will keep you posted about her happenings.
As always thanks for all that you do.
UPDATE:
First let me ask you a question....is Autumn's microchip registered in my name ?
I have registered online but need to know if her number is registered to you or me?
I have attached a few pictures from the last few days... We need to tell you Autumn is a treasure.
your research and skills with breeding have been proven to us already, we are amazed how quickly she has adapted in our home.
She seems to have a natural instinct of correct behavior.
We have socialized her with friends, children, neighbors and the vet, all have found her to be calm and secure.
I have always known that poodles are smart...but this little girl is amazing.
Autumn is a great joy in our life....thanks for all that you do.

Just a quick note to let you know all is going well. Gretel Donegal (Truffle x Dream brown female) is just wonderful.
What can I say? She's sweet, smart, adorable -- we love her. She's perfect.
Right now, she's crashed and we're getting ready to order some dinner.
She rode just fine in the truck. Spent most of her time with her head on my lap.
She loves Gertrude, and Gertrude is quite taken with Gretel. I think they will be the best of buds.
We SO enjoyed our visit. It was really wonderful to spend time with you and your husband.
And I'm thrilled I got to spend time with ALL your poodles. They are ALL beautiful and a wonderful testament to what you've created.
You have every right to be proud.
I spoke with my mom while we were on the road. She's thrilled and can't wait to meet her granddaughter.
That'll happen sometime on Friday. Will try to video that meeting.
I told mom about the puppy package and she was envious and can't get over all the nice things you do for your poodle people.
She's so impressed. I'll send you some photos once we get home and settled in and I'll keep you updated on ALL our shenanigans.
I'm going to miss going on your web site every day and checking on the status of my new puppy,
but I'm going to enjoy having her home and having her a part of our lives.
But I will go on your web site and peruse the photos and updates. I can't live without my poodle fix.
I'll be in touch. . . I promise.
UPDATE:
Thought I'd share with you news of Gretel Donegal's first BIG walk. My mom and I took our poodles for a nice walk today.
We went to Fairhaven, a quaint seaside town here in Mass. Mom walks there all the time.
Figured I'd join her, 'cuz it was such a lovely day, and mom wanted a friend of hers to meet "our" Gretel.
You'd be proud of our little girl. She walked beautifully right alongside her Aunt Gertrude.
Okay. So Gretel wasn't "perfect," but for a little over eight weeks old, she did great.
Mom had her two white standards, her red standard and her white toy poodle, and I had my two chocolate girls.
Did you ever happen to see Linda Blair in the Exorcist? Well, that's the way we had heads turnin', lemme' tell ya.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt ain't got nothin' on us.
We were stopped by a number of people. If you felt your ears burning today, it's because you and your beautiful poodles were the topic of many inqueries.
You've heard it many times, but people could not get over how gorgeous "our" chocolate poodles were, and I gave credit where credit is due -- to you.
Tomorrow we're taking Gretel and Bridget and Gertrude for a drive down the Cape to visit a cousin of mine.
I've also got to get out and about in my neighborhood as I've got some neighbors that are just dying to meet her.
We mustn't let our fans down.
Gretel now has a full belly and she's totally tuckered. She's gonna' sleep very well tonight, I'm sure.
We're doing great, and Gretel is just the best.
Will be in touch. Photos and videos coming soon.
UPDATE:
My mom and I have a saying, "A puppy is so much fun, but if done right, it can also be a lot of work."
When you first get your pup, if you find yourself exhausted, sometimes a bit frazzled,
chances are, you're doing everything right. Despite those feelings, one thing always remains true,
ya fall in love with them, and they are so much fun. In a very short time, the exhaustion subsides,
the "frazzles" are gone, and you've got yourself a wonderful companion.
That's pretty much where we are at with Gretel. . . and it didn't take long at all.
I never crated her.
If we had issues, I wasn't going to stick her in a crate to give her a timeout and me a break,
we addressed the issues and refocused the behavior.
One small issue was Gretel wanted to get into Gertrude's food every time I put it down.
Sure, I could've crated her, but that wouldn't have solved the problem.
I wasn't going to crate her every time I fed Gert. We're a family, we do things "together," to include eating.
Had I stuck Gretel in the crate, she still would've gone after Gert's food when she wasn't in the crate.
So I had to play "policeman," and keep guard as Gert ate. A bit of an inconvenience, but it was worth the effort.
When Gretel headed for Gert's dish, I was all over her. Didn't take long at all for her to learn the rules.
Now, I still am on guard, but you can tell Gretel knows the rules. She is a puppy.
She can still make mistakes, but that's what I'm there for, to remind her.
Really, Laura, she's wonderful, a very fast learner. Her personality is a lot like Gertrude's.
Gretel is full of herself, full of life. She's a little spitfire. I have to be firm with her, but she sparkles.
She's very knowing. I'm amazed at how quickly she has learned to go up and down staircases.
She's still a bit hesitant coming down our loft and cellar stairs, but she can do it.
I coax her and she's very trusting and determined.
Every day she becomes more and more independent and self-assured.
We think she's a lovely puppy, couldn't be more pleased. Just want you to know that.
We think Truffle/Dream pups are awesome, same as Java/Hershey :) Ya'll done good.
Will send more photos soon. Hoping real hard that we get to go to Provincetown this weekend with our girls.
Depends on the weather and work, of course. If we can pull it off, we'll have a blast!!
UPDATE:

A friend of mine who owns a shop in Provincetown had a very talented artist friend of hers create this likeness of Gertrude in an umbrella holder.
Didn't she do an awesome job? I just LOVE it. It faces the door where we enter our home.
Whenever I walk in, I think it's Gertrude staring at me. She captured the eyes perfectly.
Would've preferred Gertrude not "pant" when we took these photos, but hard not to in 80+ degree sunshine.
Of course, the excessive heat didn't stop her from playing a mean game of ball after we took the photos.
Smart cookie, ain't she?
Thought you'd get a kick outta' this! I got my registration papers today. Thanks so much.
Just a question for ya. Is it required that I use "K-Lar" in Grettie's registered name?
I don't care one way or the other, just don't want to screw up the form when I fill it out.
The Grets-meister is doing awesome. We spent the day at her "grandmother's" house working in the yard.
Now, Gret has totally crashed from being in the warm, fresh air, and, of course,
from keeping up with her "aunt" and "cousins." She's a very happy "big" puppy. Tipped the scales at 18 1/2 pounds today.
I pick her up at least once every day, 'cuz I know my days for picking her up are dwindling!!
She's growing so fast -- and such long legs. Gonna' be a tall one.
Well, at least two of the females in this family have long legs. I totally got screwed in that department!!
You have a great weekend. We most certainly intend to. Will be in touch.
Hearts & hugs - Laurie, Bridget, Gertrude & Gretel (I've got my Go-go girls back!) - Acushnet, MA

Brown Female ~Maeby~Peach Collar (Truffle x Dream)
Thanks again for all the help and text messages during the whole pick up ordeal this afternoon.
I do not have good things to say about the United Airline cargo people at Seatac airport.
In fact when the customs officer finally arrived he actually lectured them about what they should have done.
I guess Maeby was their first international pet import since the "new" procedures??
It's getting late but I'll email you the info I got tomorrow.
Anyway we are thrilled to finally have her and she is home safe and sound.
She rode wonderfully in the car.. didnt get sick at all even though we fed her a tin of food right before.
We are amazed with how calm and mellow she is.. such a cool dog!
Here are some quick pics we took.. the first is Brandon bribing her out of her crate with a small piece freeze dried beef liver..
then the car ride... then a quick bath when we got home. I'll get a family photo tomorrow when it's light out.
UPDATE:
Just writing to give you an update on Maeby. She is doing wonderfully and has totally settled into her routine.
She still sleeps through the night, only had 2 potty accidents the first weekend we got her (our fault)
and has been 100% potty trained since.. and she's doing really well in the crate when we are at work.
We are still feeding her 3 times a day and she is growing like a weed.. She is 10 weeks on Monday and currently weighs 11 lbs.
Funny though Brandon took her to the vet today and the vet said she was a little on the skinny side
and REALLY suggested we switch her to a large breed puppy food, then gave him a sample of Hills Science Diet - ugh!
Good thing I wasn't there otherwise I would've told her I don't feed my dog junk, and my dog's weight is just fine, thanks.
I think we're going to change vets. I don't understand what it is with vets and Science Diet ?!
Maeby eats the Kirkland adult chicken and rice that you suggested and is doing 100% perfectly on it,
her stools are solid, her coat is shiny and she's growing perfectly. I see no reason to change foods.
Breeder has a weight chart on this web page: Food and Feeding
however, when in doubt add more food during feeding "times" as bowl should never be empty in 5-10 minute time limits.
AFTER puppy is toilet trained (as what goes in must come out 20-30 minutes later which is why we have times to feed)
AFTER they are tiolet trained you can leave food down 24/7.
Thanks again

I wanted to let you know "Lana Falana" Fusia Collar apricot female (Cora x Razz) is doing brilliantly.
She is very bright, already learned to go up and down stairs.
She and our other two dogs are getting along great.
She had a rough night, missing her former life, but I think she will be fine tonight.
She has a brave spirit and is very calm and thoughtful.
We love her to bits already and she feels the same.

Brown Female ~ Echo ~Mint Collar (Truffle x Dream)
We're home, safe and sound. She is beautiful...petite but feisty. She's eaten and played and pooped and has conked out. (:)
She and Sadie have met, which went very well.
I sat on the grass and let the baby climb over and under my legs while I paid attention to Sadie and threw her frisbee for her, so she was quite happy.
The pup bounced up to her several times and when Sadie did the same thing, the pup rolled over, belly up and submitted (Sadie bouncing must look like a giant to the pup).
Not a noise of any kind passed between them. They stretched out each with their heads tucked under one of my legs with their noses touching in the middle.
She even gave the pup her tennis ball. Funny and adorable. Only had one hitch.
When we went to customs the first response was that we couldn't have the dogs as they hadn't had their rabies shots and so would haave to be quarantined (10-30 dAYS).
Just about died. The customs guy was clearly a bully who hated anyone who bought dogs
(I got a long lecture about alll the dogs available without paying for them and puppy mills and on and on and on).
The health certificate was of no interest to him. In the end we had to sign papers saying they would be quarantined in our home,
with no access to people or other animals until 3 months old, then the shot, then 30 days after that!!! Ever heard of such a thing?
( new form required called Confinement Agreement for Dogs ~ CDC Form 75.37 ~)
And he warned us that the compliance officer has the right to visit and woe to him or her that finds that the animal is not there day or night whenever.
I want to look into it as it seems ridiculous, but I was willing to do it if it meant not leaving her there alone.
Is this something you have had happen before? Has anyone else reported a problem today?
Anyway, we sorted it out, but we were nervous for a while. thought you should know as it might happen to others.
Talk to you soon.
UPDATE:
So we are 95% sure that Echo is our little Mint's name...wasn't on my list
but I'm a big believer in not naming a dog until you meet her because she will let you know what the name will be.
And sure enough, on the trip home, that name came to me out of nowhere and kept coming out when I talked to her
...go figure, maybe I'm crazy but I don't care...just know I've known the right name when I heard it.
Echo comes from the Greek myths...the echoes there were nymphs and she somehow fits that.
But moreover, there is an echo of Brechin in her...the rich dark brown he was as a pup
and Lord, she is already echoing everything Sadie does.
Follows her around, tries to play with the ball like her, and goes after her frisbee when I throw it for her.
When she has the chance she gets hold of it.
As of this morning she can pick it up and she was ever so proud of herself,
prancing across the back deck with the frisbee in the air, almost as big as she is.
Thank you for all the time you have spent in toilet/paper training. She hasn't had an accident yet.
First day peed and pooped on the paper in her pen, but since then waited for the outdoors.
Woke me up with a little whimper in the night, took her out, went immediately,
then right back to bed and after a couple of whimpers, back to sleep until morning. Eating like a pig.
Loose bowels but will keep an eye on it. We are on a well, so likely adjustment to it.
Right now she is attacking her toys in her pen after a play outside...she is active and looooooves to play.
Today a big change as she is trying to directly engage Sadie, running up to her and bouncing,
play growling and a couple of nips to entice her.
Sadie looked at her quizzically like "Do you realize you are so small and I could crush you?"
When she nipped Sadie, Sadie quietly turned and put her mouth on her and pinned her down,
Echo surrendered, all was well and on they went. So far all is right with the world.
She immediately goes into a submissive position if Sadie looks directly at her.
Both Kim and I think she has gained weight already.
Definitely feels different when you pick her up and she looks more like the typical puppy belly.

Brown Male ~ Fudge ~Red Collar (Truffle x Dream)
He is gorgeous and sweet!
Here's a quick phone camera shot of Fudge sleeping!
There were no problems with the flight or customs - only that the customs guy
was very crabby about us getting a Canadian pure-bred as opposed to a local shelter dog!
But that's okay - we had our reasons and are so happy!
Time to take Fudge out. He is adjusting so well already! Thx!
UPDATE:
I'm having some trouble with my e-mail, so I am sending this from Steve's account.
Fudge (Red Collar TrufflexDream) is doing GREAT!!! He is such a sweet, well-adjusted puppy.
The kids also adore him! He is eating and sleeping well. We are keeping him in a pen and he has had no accidents there.
We take him out about every 3 hours at night, and he actually usually whines a little to let us know when he needs to go.
That is really the only time he whines. He tries to chew everything he can - but we keep a close eye on him.
He is such a great balance of playful yet mellow. Just so you know, we did have to sign a rabies confinement paper
when we (well, my father-in-law) picked him up. As the Mint Collar's people said (we picked Fudge up at the same place/time),
the paper says the puppy will be confined to our address, with no contact with other people or animals for 30 days,
then have a rabies shot (so at 12 weeks old) and then stay confined another 30 days.
I don't know how serious they are, but as I said before, the customs guy was NOT friendly.
However, Fudge did arrive safe and sound and did not seem fazed by the whole trip.
And did I mention how beautiful he is? Thank you so much for such a great dog!
I'm taking him to the vet this coming week, and will let you know how it goes.
UPDATE:
All is basically well here. Fudge (red collar TxD) is doing fantastic with house training,
sleeping very well and eating quite well (I feed him about a cup 3 times a day-softened
he never finishes it but comes close at least with one of his feedings per day - I think that is ok?).
We went to the vet on Tuesday and, as expected, he is very healthy. I actually forgot to ask how much he weighs.
The assistant was struggling a little to get him still on the scale and the vet was talking to me, and I never saw the weight.
We go back in 3 weeks for a check and his shot. I'll make sure to know then!
So, in terms of my question, we are having trouble with excessive nipping.
It is pretty constant, he is difficult (very) to redirect, and so far does not respond to my attempts at correction
(maybe he's too young - thinking this is confrontational play? Yes, I'm reading "puppies for dummies") :-).
When we have him in the yard with us, he constantly grabs at our clothes, and it is not easy to get him to let go
(when we pry his mouth open, he just lunges for a pant leg or shirt (kids') right away again.
We are using bitter apple spray and it is helping only a little bit and only temporarily.
Also, he has started humping quite a bit in the last couple of days. Any ideas? You warned me he was a stubborn one!
I don't know how much to ignore, how much to correct. If I put him in his pen every time nipping gets excessive, he would be there all day!
Any suggestions would be great!
Thank you so much. He really is a gorgeous little guy!

Brown Male Green Collar to Christopher V. - Gainesville, FL
He made it! He's sleeping in my lap in the car.
He's doing great. Will send more pics later. Thank you for your hard work. Sleep tight.
UPDATE:
Here are a few pictures from Christopher. I am his mom Sally.
I am spending several days here to help transition the puppy from your world to Christopher's.
Luckily I am retired and can come for grandchildren and grandpets both.
The puppy, who will hopefully have a name soon, is absolutely adorable and his temperament is awesome.
UPDATE:
Hello from Florida!
Here are some pics of Mr. Green. We don't have an official name yet, although I have a short list. He goes by puppy these days.
He's doing well. House breaking is pretty good. He goes to the door now when he has to go. He is learning sit and come.
He's getting much better about not biting my heals when we go on walks. He sleeps mostly through the night these days, from about 11pm to 5am.
I've trimmed his feet hair and face twice so far (the second time today). I've also drimmeled his toenails a few times. He is very patient with me.
He's alson gotten two baths. This weekend my girlfriend and I are taking him to my parents house to introduce him to the pool and to the boat.
Last weekend he met my girlfriends 2 year old dog, Griffin. The puppy pooped in Griffin's cage and peed on Griffin's bed. I am not sure what that was all about.
Griffin is not an alpha dog at all and I think maybe the pup was establishing his territory? Last night he met my Aunt's 11 year-old Rottweiler, and did well.
He is very confident and I wanted him to meet a stable older dog that would make sure he doesn't get too big for his britches. All and all, things are going well.
I am sure my mom will get some good pics with her fancy camera this weekend. I'll make sure she sends you a few.

Black Female ~Tara~ Gold Collar (Cora x Razz)
Well we just had a second night of no sleep. I'm hoping you can offer some assistance.
Tara hates the crate and barks continuously whenever she is put in it.
I'm not exaggerating when I say she has barked continuously for the last two nights.
She has pooped and peed in the crate even though she has been taken out before we retire for the night
and not given her anything to eat or drink after 7:30 pm.
(unfortunately, I have to wash the scented blanket you gave us and she will be receiving her first bath this morning).
We can't leave her alone for a minute without her barking
(as I'm writing this she has finally passed out on the kitchen floor, she's so tired from barking all night).
Can you offer some suggestions as to how we can resolve the problem.
Looking forward for some help.
Breeder suggests gradual introduction into the cage with pleasantness such as treat and feeding and leaving door open.
Also either placing crate in bedroom so human pack visable to puppy OR using puppy pen that she is used to.
Thank you for the advise. We will try that. Returning her is not an option for us. We were just looking from some advise.
We've never had a problem with night crate training before, this is new to us.
I like what you said, not scaring her with the can which I think would.
Tara is a terrific pup, she is bonding very well with us and our environment, she loves people
and we have noted that normal household sounds are not bothering her at all.
We gave her a bath today and she was fine with it. We even used the blow dryer on low and that didn't seem to bother her.
Daytime potty training is going very well. She is going outside each time we take her and looking forward to her treat.
I think the problem is, for now, she doesn't want to be left alone.
Thank you for being there for us.
UPDATE:
Good Morning,
We took your advice, we made a bed by our bed, put a couple of toys on the blanket and layed Tara on it.
She fussed a bit but Michael put one of his t-shirts on the blanket and she curled up against
it and fell asleep until 5:30 this morning.
I took her out and when we came in I put her food out and she's sitting already when she sees the bowl in my hand.
She ate some kibble and then she went into the crate, started circulating in it and started to crouch to poo.
I picked her up right away and took her outside and she went poo.
I think she has the crate confused now for eliminating in. We'll work on that.
We will be using the crate when we have to leave the house until she is house trained,
hopefully in a few days she will be more comfortable being left in it.
Anyway thank you again for your advice.
UPATE:
Well it's been 2 weeks so I thought I would let you know how things are going.
Tara is growing and gaining some weight. She certainly has a personality of her own.
She makes us laugh because of her silliness, she is very effectionate, loves people, isn't afraid of loud sounds,
so far, has alot of energy and doesn't like it when she doesn't get her own way.
She knows her name, we have her sitting, coming to us and down
(in the house she listens very well but in the yard, well it will take some work).
It really helps with me being home though. She is in the biting/nipping stage now.
She usually now wakes up once about 4:30 am to go out and then we put her
back in the crate again until she wakes up about an hour later. She has had a couple of accidents in the house and in her crate
but now that she is learning that the crate is her place to sleep the accidents are getting fewer.
She is also getting used to being left alone in the crate. The Kong has really helped with this.
We are now working on stopping her from jumping on people when they come over.
The walking on the leash is getting better, but she loves to pull and lead. This will come.
I will be reviewing the video on the walking.
She had her first Vet appointment last week. It went very well. We're back on the 9th for her next set of shots.
We've also signed her up for puppy kindergarden next month
All and all things are going very. I'll e-mail again to provide you with our progress.

Red Male ~Scotch~Blue Collar posing with a 2 day old Filly
Scotch is home!
(they had to drive to Chicago to pick him up as there was a heat embargo to Dallas).
He is beautiful and so sweet. We could not be happier with him and he is worth the long wait.
I will send a better picture later of all of us but here he is meeting the new foal.
It is important he learns to respect the horses from the beginning for his own safety.
He will not be around them without me anytime soon. I had the crate all set up for him for his first night home.
He did not love it as we expected. I think we will try the exercise pen in the kitchen which should give him more room to play.
You have done an amazing job ! He is perfect!
More later with pictures.
UPDATE:
I am hoping you are enjoying a little free time with all the pups at their new homes.
I LOVE Scotch! We all do. He's enjoying it here- there is always so much going on.
I have him walking on the leash fairly well so he can go on walks with me around the pasture.
Everything is an adventure to him. He's also gone on lots of car rides and I think he is enjoying it.
He is such a good boy. I took him to the vet on Monday. He weighs 12 LBS 13 Oz for his 8 week check.
I know he is already bigger than that! I don't think he will have any problem reaching his genetic potential!
I need your advice on house breaking though. It has been many years since I have house broken a puppy.
I have read your manual many times but I don't think I am getting the point across to him. We have a pen for him in the kitchen.
As of yet he is not allowed to roam rooms in the house as even if he has just peed outside, he will inevitably still go on the floor.
Maybe a male dog thing but he goes only a little bit at a time. Of course he has only been home a week.
I do have papers set up in his pen on one end. He will use them if he has to although during the day but he is let out very often.
I have really had to watch his water intake(I hate to do that) because he will continuously drink....
The problem I am having is that the last 3 nights he poops in his area and not on the papers.
He will go right near the gate and then step in it and it gets everywhere!
Last night he pooped outside about 9:00 and then came in and went to sleep. I got him up at 11 and took him out to pee.
He did go and then went back to sleep. He was quiet all night until about 5AM and then I heard him yelping.
As soon as he got quiet I went to get him but he had already pooped right by his door( poor guy) and was standing in it.
He had peed on his papers which was great but not sure what is going on with the pooping thing in his area
in the middle of the night or very early in the morning. Any suggestions on what to do?
PS- I have been giving him Milkbone(he actually likes it) as a treat when I put him in his pen. Would that make him poop more?
.....I've been reading others comments on your site and am feeling somewhat inferior :(
UPDATE:

Red Male ~Scotch~Blue Collar
Here's a shot of Scotch and I taken today after I picked him up from the groomer.
He looks adorable and his color is just as dark red as ever. It is hot here, around 100 degrees everyday.
I hated to have him sheared but he was miserable going outside for a walk or to potty.
I am hoping with his new haircut he will start to ask to go outside instead of me asking him!
He is 12 weeks old now and he weighed 22 pounds today.
After the last set of shots in a month I will start taking him to the Star puppy class. I think we will both enjoy it.
I may have to try a few different foods per my vet's suggestion as we haven't found the solution or cause of his stomach issues.
Obviously it is not getting in the way of his growth! But I will continue to investigate.
Thank you again for my boy. We all really love him and he is very happy here! I'll keep you updated as he grows up!
